These wonderful hills make a great reliable, sunny, snowsure and accessible winter destination. You learn the skills to walk the winter hills or ascend alpine peaks. 1 DAY COURSE Topics covered: Use of Ice Axe Use of Crampons Avalanche awareness Roping up Snow and ice belays - use and suitability Ice Axe braking (self arrest) Crevasse Rescue Snow Climbing Moving together on mixed ground and short roping Snowholing SAMPLE MOUNTAINEERING ASCENTS: Ascent of Veleta (3,398 metres) Traverse over Veleta to Poqueira Hut via Collado del Veleta Ascent of Mulhacen (3,479 metres) Mixed climbing on Puntal de la Caldera (3,215 metres) Traverse of Tajos de Nevero ridge Ascent of Cerro de Caballo (3,215 metres)

Winter Mountaineering Courses and Guiding in Sierra Nevada, Spain
Tour Provider Information
We offer day or multi-day tours and activity days here in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains of Andalucia. You can walk, trek, rock climb, horse ride and scramble. In winter we can offer snowshoeing, winter mountaineering and both downhill and ski mountaineering.
