Cruise Ship Tour. Your tour starts with panoramic views of Tauranga Harbour and surrounding districts before experiencing a ‘powhiri’ – welcome ceremony and enjoying a ‘short nature walk’ through native flora and fauna whilst receiving a commentary of the myths and legends connected with this specific area from your Indigenous Trails’ Guide. Highlihts of this activity include ‘photo shoots’ by a ‘natural occurring waterfall’ and ‘amphitheatre’ and the opportunity to plant and tag a Native Tree. Lunch will be provided on a Marae setting in Maketu by the coast followed by a visit to one of the many Kiwi fruit plantations in the region, then on to the Port of Tauranga to board your ship concluding this day’s excursion.
